Last September 16-17, 2023, CMUans lassoed wild thumping excitement as they attended the rodeo. Following the conclusion of the Foundation Day, it was one more anticipated event left coinciding with the San Isidro Labrador Fiesta. Watching cattle chase and be chased, the audience chased after the thrill of the event.
Being true to one of our core values, the festivities promoted unity in diversity. Not only were there CMUans, other schools embraced the traditional cowboy culture and horsemanship. Students from Ateneo de CDO-Xavier University, USTP Claveria, and Impasugong National Highschool took part in the rodeo festival.
Of course, a festival wouldn’t be joyous without parades, music, and endless entertainment. It was a boisterous display of rodeo skills, with the show of bull riding, carambola, and roping. What better way to commemorate the university’s history than to hold such a memorable show.
