CMU Delagates Bag Awards at 8th Regional Health Research Conference

‎Ozamiz City — Showcasing CMUan excellence on the regional stage, researchers and students from Central Mindanao University (CMU) brought honor as they bagged multiple awards from various competitions during the 8th Regional Health Research Conference held on October 7–9, 2025

‎With the theme “Regional Health Research in Action: Driving Innovation, Impact and Inclusive Growth”, CMUans grabbed four first-place titles, one second-place, and a Best Paper Award across both professional and student categories.

‎In the Professional Category, Dr. Kassy Alsylle Dargantes of the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) won First Place in the Oral Research Paper Presentation, while Dr. Mark Lloyd Dapar from the College of Arts and Sciences was also awarded Best Paper Award in the same competition.

Simultaneously, another CVM faculty, Dr. Philip John Sajol, earned First Place in the 3-Minute Pitch to Policy Makers competition.

‎Meanwhile, Dr. Karla Cristine Doysabas secured Second Place in the Research Poster Competition.

‎On the other hand, two delegates in the Student Category both clinched the First Place Awards—Cris Palaca in Oral Research Paper Presentation and Jay Rafael Alabata in Visual Abstract Contest.

Indeed, these awards are proof that CMUans’ academic excellence continues to shine in various platforms driven by passion, dedication, and brilliance in research and innovation.
